Pigmentation

Pigmentation

Hyperpigmentation is caused by an increase in melanin. Melanin is the natural pigment that gives our skin &hair theircolour. A number of factors can trigger an increase in melanin production, but the main ones are sun exposure, hormonal influences, age and skin injuries or inflammations.

MELASMA

Melasma is believed to be caused by hormonal changes and may develop during pregnancy. Areas of hyperpigmentation may appear commonly over the cheeks, upper lip and nose. These patches get darker over time, giving your face a dull appearance.
